Christmas round up

Christmas Jumper Day and Strictly Santa!

On Friday 13th December, Northfield was in a festively fun mood for Christmas Jumper day. The children looked brilliant in their fabulous array of Christmas outfits.

We also held a Strictly Santa dance activity in the afternoon. Eagles class choreographed and presented five dances and ended it with the Macarena. Amelie said, “I want to do it again.” Alfie H agreed saying, “I found it really fun making up a dance for Strictly Santa because it was really energetic.” “I liked being on stage, “ Callum stated, “It was exciting.”

Some of our Y3 girls said that it was very good. Betsy said she like it “when we got to freestyle.” Ella  added, “I liked ‘Dance Monkey’ because the boys did some crazy and fun dance moves.” A group of Y4 boys also enjoyed the dancing. They especially like ‘Dance Monkey’, which Frazer said was “more energetic”. In addition to this, Zaki thought the ‘Macarena’ was funny.

What a great day!

Christmas Dinner and Party

To help reduce the amount of plastic going to landfill we decided not to have crackers at Christmas dinner this year. Instead the children spent the morning creating their own hat to wear to Christmas dinner. There were lots of fabulous ideas!

The children enjoyed their scrummy Christmas dinner with all the traditional favourites on offer.

After lunch everyone got together for one final event- the Christmas party! There were party games, prizes, dancing and lots of super music. We all loved Miss Burton's dance moves!

We hope everyone has a fantastic Christmas and Happy New Year!
