Our Harvest Breakfast this year was a huge success! Following tradition we started off with a big breakfast of sausage and bacon cobs, kindly cooked for us by Moss Valley Fine Meats, this year we served over 200 cobs!
After our tasty breakfast we all set off into the school grounds to enjoy the outdoors. Y3 enjoyed gathering materials for fence weaving, Y4 developed their knowledge of animal skeletons by making stick skeletons on the playground, Y5 made gorgeous leaf wreaths and Y6 created leaf pictures.
A huge team of parents were also on hand this year to help us ready for winter. They were absolutely amazing and the allotment and school grounds are looking fantastic.
Finally, we all gathered back together to celebrate Harvest with an assembly. There was some beautiful singing, acrostic poetry and everyone learnt alot about pumpkins! We also announced the winners- well done to Harvey for winning the Guess the Weight of the Pumpkin and to all the winners of the Fruity Animal Competition- Bobby, Emmie, Sophia, Joely and Asher.
We also collected food and warm blankets for The Archer project in Sheffield who support homeless people.
