This term Northfield have had the exciting opportunity to work with real engineers. we have collaborated with Sheffield University Maker Futures and other local schools to take part in maker-based projects. It was funded by the The Royal Academy of Engineering.
Each class had a different focus and they ranged from making plastic out of milk, designing furniture made from paper, making light up wands and exploring cams. It was great fun and the children were given opportunities to think like engineers, work collaboratively and to solve problems. We have also had the opportunity to speak to real engineers about their exciting jobs.
