On Thursday 17th June, Y3&4 participated in a Dance Platform. Our theme was ‘Explorers’, which linked to our class reader: ‘The Explorer’ by Katherine Rundell. Lions class explored the land as animals in the plains of Africa. Leopards class explored the sea as sailors. Tigers class explored the sky on a plane. Each class helped to choreograph their routine and then performed their dances to showcase their ideas.
Here’s what some of our children thought:
“I liked moving to new positions in the dance.” Luke.
“It was exciting. My favourite part was when I went to the back to do a cartwheel.” Elsie.
“I felt a bit nervous to begin but happy afterwards because I had done it and been a part of it.” Lacey.
“It was fun and exciting being a pilot.” Harry
“I felt happy because I really like dancing. Afterwards, I felt energetic. I liked that it was a whole class performance and everyone got to be a part of it.” Daisy.
“When we were going to do the video, I was nervous. But, when we did it, I was happy because I’d done the dance.” Leo.
