Y5 and 6 have carried out a fascinating River Study at Longshaw Estate! They loved exploring the rivers, moorland and countryside with our park ranger. They conducted research into the depth, width and speed of the different parts of Burbage Brook and also found out about the water cycle. It was fantastic to be out and about, exploring our local countryside.
It was so lovely to be outdoors in the fresh air. We applied our understanding of National Parks and rivers and completed our own rivers study which included measuring the width, depth and speed of the river. We explored the water cycle and looked at wildlife that live at Longshaw. It was a fantastic day and Eagles really impressed me with their curiosity and enthusiasm.
