Year 5 enjoyed a fantastic visit to The Beatles Story in Liverpool. First of all, the children explored the British Invasion museum. The British Invasion- how 1960s beat groups conquered America- is an exhibition that looks at the wave of British artists that took over the Billboard Top 100 in the 1960s and 1970s in the USA. Following this the children also got the chance to explore the 'Hidden Galleries' where the children could see rare photographs of The Beatles.
Following this, after stopping for a quick photograph with the iconic statue of The Beatles, they continued their visit to the Albert Docks where they had a tour of the Beatles Story museum. Using fantastic multi- media headsets, they explored the life, history and music of The Beatles.
All the children took part in an hour's workshop where they dressed up in 1960's outfits, learnt dances, played music and created some brilliant pop art!
Everyone had a fantastic time! If you'd like to take a look at some photos, click here.
