NEXT EVENT - Thursday 26th March / Friday 27th March

Event Information
Heats: Thursday 26th March. Each class will hold their own heats - 3 winners from each class will go through to the final.
Final: Friday 27th March. First, second and third placed eggs will receive a prize.

£1 to enter - funds raised for PTA to support school.

Egg info for children/parents
  • Any type of egg can be used - real, chocolate, plastic, wooden, rubber etc.
  • Each egg must be no bigger than a child's fist.
  • Eggs can be decorated but the shape of the egg must remain the same as the egg must be able to roll.
  • Real eggs MUST be thoroughly hard boiled and brought in a sealed, named container.
  • It is helpful to write your child's name on their egg.
  • Children are responsible for bringing eggs home. However real eggs will be discarded immediately after the events to prevent any being left in school over the holidays!
  • The same eggs used in the heats will be used in the final but if your egg is damaged during the heats you will have an option to bring on a substitute if you qualify for the final.
Rules for children on the day
  • Place your egg anywhere behind the slider.
  • Everyone counts down 5,4,3,2,1...roll!!!!
  • Fully release the slider when the countdown ends.
  • Don't knock the mats - the egg might need to be rolled again if the mats impede rolling.
  • Cheer every egg - it makes them go further!! (Backed by 15 years of research!)
  • No booing! Support everyone and every egg!
  • On a signal, give the teacher who is hosting your attention to keep proceedings flowing.
  • You will get egg-cited but don't take it too far.
