NEXT EVENT - Friday 5th June

Time of event: 6.00pm on Friday 5th June. 

The children will leave school as normal on Friday 5th June at 3:30pm where they will have their tea. They will then return to school at 6:00pm with their sleeping bag or duvet, pillow, sleep wear, toothbrush and toothpaste, and clothes for the morning. This is likely to be set up in the school hall but will depend on the weather. 

At this point, the children will take part in a range of activities including a camp fire (weather permitting). There will be treats and snacks for the children.  

The following morning, school will be open from 8:45am for you to collect your child or join us for breakfast - bacon and sausage sandwiches (there will be an extra cost for breakfast for adults and siblings - this can be pre-booked via Parentpay). The school will then be closed by 10:00am to let members of staff and the PTA enjoy their weekend! 

Adults during the event will either be staff from the school or members of the PTA - all have been DBS checked. Mr Walmsley will stay awake throughout the event. 

The event is designed to give the children a taste of staying away from home before the school residentials to Whitehall in Y5 and London in Y6. We are close enough to home so that if there are any issues, you, the parents, are easily accessible. We can also have a lot of fun on the school grounds at a different time of the day!

Congratulations to the 2026 winner, Arthur, who set a Northfield Egg Rolling record of 8m 23cm. Will he defend his Egg Rolling title in 2027 or will there be a new name on the trophy?
