Headteacher's Welcome
It is my pleasure and privilege to welcome you to Northfield Junior School.
Northfield is a happy school with a very positive and nurturing ethos. We believe that our school family should ‘encourage each other to do well’ and follow our key values of teamwork, resilience, respect, responsibility, kindness and curiosity.
Northfield Junior School is a ‘warm and caring learning environment’. It is a place where pupils’ needs are nurtured. They relish the social times they share with their friends. As one parent commented: ‘I love that my child is seen as an individual’. Every pupil is known by all staff. Pupils know that adults will listen to their ideas and opinions.

Every member of the Northfield Family is fully committed to providing the best possible educational opportunities for all of the children.
We have a warm and welcoming building with extensive grounds that serve to enhance our educational provision and visits to our school are most welcome. In 2025/26, we look forward to becoming a forest school, further enhancing our outdoor provision.
Our school aims for the relationship between parents/carers, staff, governors and children to be an excellent one, that we provide a friendly and approachable environment that encourages every child to fulfil their potential.
We encourage you to be involved in your child’s school life by attending meetings, parents' evenings, performances and other events that give you an insight into your child’s progress and learning. We also have a newly formed Parent & Teachers Association and extra hands are always welcomed.
I hope that the information on our brand new website helps to provide you with further information about our school. If you are unable to find what you are looking for or have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact the school office.
