Music is a very important aspect of school life at Northfield. We LOVE singing and sing every day in assembly and weekly in the music lesson and in Music Assembly. We sing at community events, competitions and festivals and use every opportunity to support the rest of the curriculum in song! We offer a wide range of instrumental tuition, including brass, woodwind, cello, guitar and keyboard. In our weekly music lessons we listen, appraise, perform, compose and improvise. We also experience a wide range of musical styles and listen to great composers in our assemblies. Whenever we can, we invite musicians into school to perform and also take our pupils to live musical performances.
