It was an absolute pleasure to watch nearly 140 children playing in the snow on Tuesday. They had very confused look on their faces as we called an assembly for 11:50am. When Mr Walmsley announced that they would be going outside, under very strict conditions of course, their faces beamed with delight and they had a superb time.
As the week went on, it became more difficult to find a spot where the children could play and the rules became even stricter but the children listened and lots of fun was had.
Going forward, we will do our best to take them out when it is safe to do so therefore it would be appreciated if you could send your children with alternative footwear and socks as no one wants cold wet feet all afternoon - hats and gloves are recommended too. As we have done all week, we will continue to provide opportunities for children who do not like the snow to play outside.
