Y5/6 Athletics Competition
On Thursday, Miss Burton and Mr Walmsley took a group of Year 5/6 children to Eckington Secondary School for an indoor athletics competition.

Yesterday, we went to Eckington School. There was a huge track and other activities on the sides. Four schools came to the competition and we took part in relay races, javelin, vertical jump, triple and long jump, also speed bounce. We also did chest push, an obstacle course and over and under. I (Matilda) enjoyed doing the running because I like to run. I enjoyed the over and under but my foot stuck! (Charlotte) We're not sure who won, but we think we did really well and won lots of events.
Unfortunately, at the time of going to press, we are unsure of our final finishing position but we are proud of all of our children and the effort they put in – well done team Northfield!
